Resources to make you sound and look great
during the interview:

It is a podcast – let’s make sure you sound great!

Be in a quiet place — try to minimize background noise (kids, cars, squeaky ceiling fans…)
Use headphones — this is a must. they can be the most basic set. the goals is for your microphone not to capture my voice coming out of the speakers.
Good microphone — If you are not planning on doing other interviews you can just use a higher end headset that you use for your phone (such as earpods). If you are planning to do more voice recordings, I highly recommend getting a solid entry level microphone. and nothing beats the Samson Q2U in value for money.

We are also recording video – you will look great if…

Don’t be backlit — Meaning, do not have a window or another light source behind you!
Your face is well lit — natural light is great, as long as it’s consistent (no storm is coming through while we are recording).
Use a good light source — usually regular room light will not look great (even though it is acceptable). you can use a couple of reading lights, or tabletop office desk lighting. Just play around with it using your webcam until you like the results. then just keep the setup for the interview.
Use a good camera — most webcams today are more than sufficient, but if you are using a desktop with a webcam you got for your bar-mitzvah… consider upgrading 😉

Be prepared for the interview itself

Listen to a few episodes of the Business Growth Accelerator podcast. Choose ones which are relevant to you and your expertise. It will give you a good idea on what to expect.
Write bullet point answers to the questions — I will send you a list of general questions and the overall flow a few days before the interview. It is a shared document on Google Drive. Write bullet point answers on the document itself. This way I can see your answers as well, and we are both better prepared. Remember – my goal is to make you the star of the show. knowing what to expect, helps me do it.
